Application Info

When?

NutriSoil is best applied during the plants growth phase. Pasture and crop application is usually in Autumn and Spring or other growth times according to the season or irrigation.

  • Apply annually for lower output crops and pasture.
  • Apply twice yearly for higher pasture grazing, hay and silage.
  • Extra applications will benefit irrigation and lucerne.
  • Orchards & general horticulture will benefit from 3 to 4 applications per year up till harvest (no withholding period).

How much NutriSoil?

5L per hectare or 2L per acre of NutriSoil concentrate.

Download Price and Application Table from pricelist page to calculate how much NutriSoil you need for your property.

If you are adding to a fertigation or tank supply, 5% concentration of NutriSoil to water can be used as a guide.
It is safe to apply NutriSoil at higher rates and frequencies.

How much Water?

NutriSoil is a concentrate and therefore should be mixed with water for the purpose of covering the area. The water level is not critical as it is merely acting as a carrier.

All spray units and jets will not be the same so the water level may vary according to your spray unit output.

EG: 100L/ha callibrated spray unit would require 5L NutriSoil to every 95L water. Water levels above or below this are quite acceptable.

It is safe to apply NutriSoil at higher rates and frequencies.

Don’t…

Application is discouraged on fallow as results will only appear after rains or irrigation has brought up new growth.

Mixing with pesticides is not recommended due to the harm to beneficial biology (micro-organisms). If using pesticides, apply NutriSoil after the active period of the chemical (as per manufacturers specifications). NutriSoil has been mixed with herbicides with good results, however is also not recommended if you can avoid it.

Visual Response Sign

Depending on your crop/pasture deficiencies, you may observe the following visual responses within the first few weeks:

  1. Colour change in crops
  2. Stock preferential feeding on NutriSoil treated areas
  3. Reduction in signs of insects attacking grass

Cumulative Results

NutriSoil will give cumulative results each year when applied on the same area (more positive responses).
This is because:

  • Soil life and nutrient levels continue to rise.
  • Locked nutrients are released giving an extra boost.
  • Plant root systems become stronger and healthier.

Home Gardening

  • Apply to vegetables, flowers including orchids / natives, transplanting seedlings, lawn, indoor plants and ferns etc.
  • A minimum of 20ml (capful) per 9L watering can.
  • Apply to all growing plants at 10 to 14 day intervals.
  • Increase rate to 40ml per 9L or greater on plants with higher nutrient intakes.
  • Fruit trees. Apply fortnightly from blossom till 2 weeks from harvest.
  • Compost heaps. Microbes in NutriSoil assist rapid break down of compost. Apply once a week.

Double application (10l/ha) of NutriSoil improved drought resistance in this 15a trial. A deepened pasture root system has increased water holding capacity.

Broad jets, triple jets or boomless flat spray nozzles are all suitable for spraying out NutriSoil. Any equipment used for spraying out liquids will be ok. No problems with blocking.
